NBB Insights:

What a successful closing looks like

Brady Schmidt

Ramon Alverez owned Alvarez Jaguar in Riverside, California, for almost 25 years. It’s never an easy decision to sell a business you’ve poured your blood, sweat and tears into, but Alvarez decided it was time.

“Everything has a beginning and an end. When you put that along with a willing buyer, it’s a good formula to move on,” he said.

Alvarez said he wanted to work with a broker who really cared about the people and the process, and would work hard to keep the deal fair and amicable. He interviewed a couple of different brokerages and felt that Gary Mull and Brady Schmidt of NBB were “head and shoulders above everyone else.” Alvarez appreciated the team's personal attention and proactive mediation.

“Sometimes mediators wait until the last minute and come in with their white tape. Gary and Brady were able to see things coming way ahead and nip the problems in the bud. They were able to make it a win-win for both parties,” Alvarez said. “NBB's ability to navigate all the mines that exist in a buy-sell arrangement – they are masters at keeping everything together.”

There is a lot on the line for buyers and sellers in a dealership transaction – we have a great deal of respect for that.

We consider it a privilege to walk with owners as they sell the dealerships they’ve built.

Congratulations, again, Ramon! We look forward to working with you again in the future as your dreams in automotive retail continue to evolve.

Congratulations Ramon Alvarez
